Britain’s best sabre fencer James Honeybone is in Brixton November 20th! BOOK HERE
The country’s #1 sabre fencer James Honeybone is coming to Brixton Sabre, for one night only on Tuesday, November 20th.
Ranked first for sabre in the UK and 30th in the world, 27-year-old James already has one Olympics under his belt and is gearing up for Tokyo 2020. However, on Tuesday 20th November from 7.30pm-9.30pm, James will be taking a break from training to make a special appearance at Brixton Sabre in the Brixton Recreation Centre.
On the night, James will be offering coaching tips to experienced sabre fencers and answering questions about his career and journey to Tokyo 2020. Non-club members (16yo+) are welcome to sign up on the website (www.brixtonsabre.com) to meet James.
“Having James Honeybone visit us is a huge coup for us,” says Marc Lepere, founder of Brixton Sabre. “We set up Brixton Sabre because south London desperately needs a dedicated place where sabreurs can go to train, fence each other and have lessons from a specialist sabre coach. Paolo Gattavari (still in his 20s:)), ex U23 Italian squad member, has agreed to be our coach, giving group sessions, individual lessons and beginners courses.”
